Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (“peach fuzz”). There is no downtime with this procedure. Patients experience a smooth, glowing complexion and an ideal canvas for make-up application.

Micro-Needling

Micro-needling, also known as Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy (PCIT), is a therapy that has been around since the early 1950’s. The therapy has recently received more attention because the equipment for performing it has been improved and perfected. The concept is simple: a specialized “pen”, containing a dozen or more very tiny needles, is expertly glided across the skin by a trained technician to create thousands of microscopic channels or “injuries”. This triggers the body to release its own natural growth factors in response, specifically new collagen and elastin, in a way only the body can do, delivering the purest form of each internally, without additives or preservatives. The result is smoother, younger-looking skin.

These channels have the additional benefit of allowing the technician to “assist” the body in the delivery of its own natural growth factors. Treatment time becomes an optimal time to deliver specialized topical serums and creams to be absorbed more effectively into the skin for additional healing benefits. These products can be applied before, during, or after micro-needling treatment.

Possibly the greatest benefit of micro-needling over other treatments is that while the results of injectables are temporary and the treatment itself needs to be repeated to restore results, micro-needling is a therapy which actually helps the skin heal itself. Several micro-needling treatments are needed initially, scheduled 4-6 weeks apart, but after that, the results are long-lasting.

Micro-needling is extremely effective for treating a variety of skin conditions including wrinkles, scarring, (including acne scarring), stretch marks from pregnancy or weight loss/gain, texture or dryness problems, and hyperpigmentation issues. Additionally, it has the advantage of being utilized on skin that otherwise may not be well-suited to the irritation of chemical peels or the heat of lasers. Micro-needling involves very little downtime, and most people experience a sunburn-like redness for a day or two post-treatment.

Hydrafacial

The HydraFacial delivers vastly improved hydration, while helping to eliminate or lessen the appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, oil and congestion, and even creases in the nasolabial folds. Despite involving a light chemical peel and pore extraction, the procedure has no pain — it actually is a pleasant spa-like experience — and doesn’t have the usual redness and irritation that follows most peels/exfoliations.

Laser Hair Reduction w/LightSheer® Duet™ Laser

Laser Hair Reduction is a long-term solution to unwanted dark hair. The laser light that is emitted is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles, creating heat. The heat causes damage to the hair shaft and bulb which significantly alters the ability to re-grow hair. After five to six treatments with the laser, you should expect to see an 80-90% reduction in hair.

Randolph & Holt Plastic Surgery and Med Spa is proud to offer laser hair reduction:  LightSheer® Duet™!! This revolutionary new technology utilizes a vacuum assist and a larger spot size and reduces hair removal treatment times up to 75% and vastly improves patient comfort, eliminating the need for topical anesthetics.

*For all available treatment areas. Consultation is required to determine if you are a candidate. Treatment does not work on all hair colors.

Chemical Peels

We offer several chemical peel options to correct a variety of skin irregularities and the normal signs of aging. The essential function of a chemical peel is to dissolve the connection holding dead cells together on the surface of the skin and to reveal smoother, healthier, clearer more youthful looking skin. Chemical peels help to correct sun-damage, aging, blemish-prone, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, melasma, or poor elasticity. Depending on your skin condition, age and lifestyle, we may recommend either a light/medium or medium/deep chemical peel.

*An aesthetic consultation is required to determine which chemical peel is best for you!
